Economists Vladimir Klimanov and Vasily Koltashov predict a change in the cost of apartments and cars in 2022. The increase in their prices will occur under the influence of changes in the redistribution of goods and services, there is a restructuring in this segment of the market.

The head of the autonomous non-profit organization "Institute of Public Finance Reform", Head of the Department of State Regulation of the Economy of RANEPA Vladimir Klimanov spoke about the current situation. It should be taken into account that the market of goods and services has changed, including the mechanism of redistribution. Many borders were closed due to COVID-19, while economic ties were interrupted. In addition, the market of services is being updated, remote forms of their provision have appeared. A kind of "new reality" has emerged, within which consumers have not been able to use up their available free resources. We are talking about visiting theaters, restaurants, concerts and air travel abroad. In this case, the demand for goods has formed, which still dictates price changes and accelerates inflation. Along with this, the supply of energy resources and raw materials to a wide range of consumers is complicated due to the coronavirus. Disruptions in logistics have led to an increase in prices for gas, oil and other minerals. The real estate market is tied to these processes, the same applies to the automotive market.

The head of the Center for Economic Research Vasily Koltashov also expressed his opinion. Russia has a strong internal source of inflation. Real estate prices are rising. Apartments will continue to rise in price, regardless of how the situation on the global market develops. Inflation has an impact on housing and communal services tariffs, which will also rise. This process ensures inflationary changes in the region of 10%, an increase in real estate prices is not excluded.

Nikolay Novoselov, head of the development of the Cuore commercial and industrial company, in turn, believes that the car market is also subject to change. The cost of machines is changing due to huge investments in this market segment, including the development of semiconductors. Along with this, one should not be afraid of a sharp increase in food prices, they will become more expensive only in the spring. Food, in case of shortage, can be produced in accelerated ways. In agriculture, there are technologies that provide this opportunity, including the production of modified products.
